The Unicorn Files is a project by the amazing Terra C. and Nate W., which documents the lives of female geeks. The idea behind the project is "Debunking the myth of the Female Geek, one Geek at time."
The clients had noted that they wanted the logo to express something strong, geeky but also fun. Initial sketches drew inspiration from cigar box illustration, rainbows and banners, as well as a twist on The Girl Scouts logo.
Some of the earlier illustrations and typography choices, in black and white. Terra had noted that she wanted the Unicorn to definitely read nerdy, and perhaps with a bit of hipster handwritten type.
